Make Music Chicago day & Networking Event with Jesse White

It has been a pleasure and a true blessing to have a jam-packed schedule as Miss Chicago, and even in this last week leading up to Miss Illinois Week 2012, this has been no different.

Last week I had the pleasure of participating in an INTERNATIONAL day of music appreciation and recognition. I was invited as Miss Chicago to get involved with Chicago’s own Make Music Chicago day, a day full of free musical performances by artists of all levels throughout the city. I was featured as a soloist at 2 performance venues, and participated in festivities throughout the day. I loved being out in my city and sharing beautiful music with the vibrant folks around town!

In addition to this exciting, music-filled day, I also had the pleasure of participating in a Networking Event in Chicago’s West Loop where Secretary of State Jesse White was the featured guest. We were both on the panel of speakers for the event, and it was an honor to meet such an inspiring political figure for our state.

In other news, Miss Illinois Week kicks off TOMORROW!!! So excited to see old friends, meet new friends, and make memories with all of the wonderful contestants and volunteers involved with the program. See you all shortly. :)

With Love,

Marisa
